This watch is fantastic! It’s lightweight, the battery lasts a long time, it’s precise, and it really helps keep you accountable.

This product is fantastic and absolutely worth the investment. The cordless charging feature is a total game changer. My husband wears it constantly, and it’s more comfortable than the larger Apple Watch and doesn’t cause the irritation that the Fitbit did over time. It provides valuable insights into his sleep patterns and workout routine as well. Highly recommend!

I’ve been using the WHOOP 4.0 for some time now, and it has truly transformed my life, particularly as someone dealing with sleep apnea. This device goes beyond being a mere fitness tracker; it’s a holistic health tool that has greatly enhanced my sleep quality and daily activity levels. The sleep tracking feature offers in-depth insights that have helped me comprehend my sleep patterns and make necessary changes. Moreover, the activity tracking is precise, encouraging me to remain active and healthy. It’s comfortable enough to wear around the clock, and the app is intuitive, making it simple to track my progress. Investing in the WHOOP 4.0 has been one of the best choices I’ve made for my health and well-being.

Incredible product! You truly have to wear it to appreciate the wealth of information it provides about your daily habits. It’s fantastic for workouts and offers valuable insights into your sleep requirements, recovery needs, overall strain, and stress levels throughout the day, along with tips for improvement.

Overall, this health and fitness tracker is excellent! It tracks my activities much more accurately than my previous Pixel watch, and I really appreciate its emphasis on battery life rather than display features. I’m looking forward to an even more compact version in v5!
The accompanying app is impressive, especially since the device itself lacks a display. I wear mine every day and have had no durability issues after nearly 10 months of use.
I recommend using a bicep band or an alternative to give your wrist a break. I also own their compression shorts, which are unexpectedly comfortable, and they often have great discounts around Thanksgiving.
The band that comes with the tracker is nice, but it tends to get a bit unappealing over time. I stopped wearing mine in the shower, which helped maintain it, but I’d also suggest getting a second band for variety.
Lastly, I’m pleased that I could use my HSA card to purchase it on Amazon. I initially tried a trial with Whoop, but buying through Amazon made it easier to pay with my HSA. You can also do this on Whoop’s website, but it involves reimbursing yourself, so using Amazon was definitely more convenient.

I find that my Whoop tracks sleep quite well, but as soon as I engage in any physical activity, even something as simple as walking, the heart rate readings become erratic. I constantly have to adjust the band to get a more accurate reading. This inaccuracy in physical activity tracking leads to unreliable strain logging, which ultimately affects stress and recovery measurements. Sadly, I can’t trust any of the metrics it provides.
In comparison, my Garmin watch, which I wear on my other wrist, consistently shows a heart rate that is sometimes off by as much as 20 bpm—either higher or lower—compared to the Whoop. I also compared it with my Fitbit, which I stopped using to try the Whoop, and the results are similar: the Whoop consistently shows a significant discrepancy in bpm.
I intentionally performed exercises multiple times to compare the Fitbit and Garmin, and they synced perfectly, with only a couple of bpm difference or a second or two of delay between them. The issues with the Whoop are on a whole different level.
Unfortunately, I missed the 3-month support window, which I was unaware of until I finally decided to reach out to the seller. Overall, I’m pretty disappointed with my experience. While I’ve heard some positive feedback about the Whoop, there aren’t many users in KSA for comparison, and I’m not sure what to do next.

I purchased this WHOOP expecting it to function like a pedometer, tracking distance walked, and serving as a watch. Instead, I found it to be a stunning health band that focuses on measuring output and recovery. It accurately calculates the amount of sleep needed for recovery based on the energy expended during workouts or mental tasks. If your sleep falls significantly short of optimal levels, it indicates an increased recovery requirement. I particularly appreciate its ability to break down sleep phases and highlight the benefits of each one.

If you want to enhance your performance and improve your quality of life in both sports and work, you should definitely get this device.

The in-depth information on recovery, sleep, and strain is extremely beneficial. It’s comfortable to wear and provides practical data to enhance overall wellness.

Update 10/19: I’m dropping another star. Unfortunately, this device has proven to be nearly worthless. It’s disappointing because the concept is solid, but given the high price tag, it’s frustrating. I went for a three-mile walk this morning to warm up. As a 190-pound man, I typically burn 110-125 kcal per flat mile at a leisurely pace. I wore both the WHOOP and my Apple Watch during this walk. My Apple Watch recorded 350 kcal burned, while the WHOOP registered only 123. Both devices were set to “walking” and worn on opposite wrists, leading to a shocking discrepancy between 123 and 350. It’s clear the WHOOP is not worth the investment.
Update 9/12: Another star deducted. I really wanted to love this device, but perhaps mine is just defective. The readings, especially for heart rate—which I’m most interested in—are so inaccurate that the WHOOP feels nearly useless. This is particularly disappointing given its high cost and subscription fees. During a strenuous workout, I wore both my Apple Watch and the WHOOP. I did a 30-minute EMOM, alternating between 10 double unders and 15 Russian kettlebell swings at 80#. The Apple Watch showed my heart rate between 165 and 175, which felt accurate based on my exertion level, averaging just under 150 BPM. In contrast, the WHOOP displayed a heart rate of 96 to 120 during the double unders and an overall average of just 127. Only after cooling down did the readings align. I’m left wondering if the WHOOP is simply unable to capture rapid heart rates accurately. The AI support for WHOOP is equally disappointing, providing only generic responses and unhelpful troubleshooting. If you’re serious about tracking your data, I’d advise looking elsewhere.
Update 8/25: Today I wore both my Apple Watch Ultra and the WHOOP simultaneously (WHOOP on my right arm, Apple Watch on my left). I set both devices to “functional strength” and completed a 30-minute workout. The WHOOP recorded 241 calories burned and an average heart rate of 119, while the Apple noted 327 calories and an average heart rate of 129. At certain points, the Apple Watch recorded my heart rate at 145 bpm, while the WHOOP showed only 107. I know what 107 feels like, and it’s certainly not accurate. I even timed my pulse and got 140. This significant discrepancy could explain the inaccurate calorie counts. I reached out to WHOOP support, but it was utterly unhelpful, filled with vague technical jargon about strain calculations. I’m deducting another star.
As someone who has worked out daily for over 15 years, I’ve transitioned through various devices, from Fitbit to Garmin Instinct Solar to the Apple Watch Ultra, and now to the WHOOP. I sought the WHOOP to escape the clutter of the Apple Watch, which overwhelms with notifications, has poor battery life (max 2.5 days), and lacks aesthetic appeal. The WHOOP is minimalist, lightweight, and comfortable, with a week-long battery life that charges quickly via a small battery pack worn like a backpack. The interface is decent; while there’s a lot of data to digest, I appreciate its focus on sleep and recovery. Each day, I receive a grade for my sleep quality and recovery, which generally aligns with how I feel.
However, the major flaw in the WHOOP is its inaccurate strain calculations. After wearing the device for a few days, it begins to make personalized recommendations based on my recovery. While I usually stick to my workout schedule regardless, I’ve noticed that the calorie counts are consistently off compared to other devices, by about 20-30% lower than the Apple Watch and even 40% lower than the Garmin. They also contradict each other. For instance, during a conditioning workout, my Apple Watch recorded over 400 calories burned, whereas the WHOOP only showed 258. I’m uncertain which device is correct, but the WHOOP’s strain score did increase significantly during the session. It’s puzzling that despite the increased exertion, the calorie calculation didn’t rise. Overall, while I still find some value in the device, these inconsistencies are frustrating. Hopefully, future software updates will address these issues.
