This equipment is fantastic! It was simple to assemble, and the quality is definitely worth the investment. I highly recommend it!

The assembly is required, but I really appreciate the back extension feature. The handles are great for performing low resistance angled push-ups. However, true dips are a bit challenging since my knees hit the ground quickly. Still, I can do bench-style tricep dips/extensions with my feet positioned in front, similar to what you’d do on a park bench. It’s primarily designed for 45% hyperextensions, which are comfortable and sturdy.
The price is reasonable, and it conveniently folds up for storage.
Update: After using it for a while, I’ve grown quite fond of this machine; it’s become a favorite. I particularly like the support bars for push-ups. Surprisingly, you can also do dips, although the base lacks a bracket or stop for an upright angle. Nevertheless, it holds steady enough for dips.
It easily rolls and can be stored against a wall, saving space in my room or garage. Just keep in mind that you might need a hook or bungee to secure it if it’s leaning against the wall to prevent it from falling.

I had a mixed experience with this product. The price is fantastic, assembly is straightforward, and I really appreciate how it folds flat against the wall when not in use.
However, I quickly learned why commercial gym hyperextension benches feature two separate thigh pads with a gap in between, rather than a single continuous pad like this one. After my first rep, it became clear: for men, the solid pad compresses the groin area. It’s uncomfortable after just one rep and quite painful after a full set.
To address this, I’ve resorted to placing two stacks of hand towels on the thigh pad, keeping a gap between them to reduce the pressure (see photo). It’s effective but a bit cumbersome and not very visually appealing.
I should note that this issue may primarily affect men. I noticed the Amazon ad features a woman, suggesting it may not be a concern for female users.

The Hypertension Roman Chair is an outstanding piece of equipment that has significantly improved my workouts. With its robust construction and ergonomic design, it offers both comfort and efficiency for various exercises. The adjustable settings provide a tailored workout experience, accommodating different fitness levels and objectives. I particularly value its versatility, as it’s perfect for core workouts, upper body exercises, and even stretching routines. Its compact size makes it a great fit for home gyms or smaller spaces. The included instructional materials were clear and helpful, making assembly and usage a breeze. The chair is impressively durable, standing up well to regular use. The Hypertension Roman Chair has become a vital part of my fitness routine, offering a challenging yet enjoyable way to stay fit. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking to enhance their workout regimen.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product; it’s sturdy and supports my weight (74kg) very well. It feels stable and doesn’t wobble. Plus, it can be easily stored without taking up much space. I highly recommend it!

Sunny has delivered once again. The construction and design are impressive, featuring excellent adjustment options. It offers great stability and is easy to move, making it perfect for smaller spaces without feeling bulky. If you have more room, I recommend investing in a larger unit. At 5’10”, the size works well for me, but taller users might want to consider a bigger model for better padding, a larger foot pad, and a sturdier frame. So far, the back extension function operates effectively, and the adjustable features provide multiple benefits. The dipping bar is fantastic and supports my weight without any wobble; the unit remains steady. While the padding is decent, it could be better, and I would prefer a wider, single-piece footrest. Assembly was a breeze, with parts organized to simplify the building process, and the instructions were clear.

This product is sturdy and meets my needs perfectly. I purchased it to address lower back pain caused by poor posture from my desk job and insufficient back exercise. Assembly was a breeze. I even spray-painted it a vibrant blue because the original dull grey didn’t motivate me to use it. Customizing it with any color you like is easy. At 5’9″ and 140 lbs, it supports my weight without issue, and there are extra holes for taller users, allowing for plenty of height adjustments. The foam pad for the legs isn’t the best, but considering the price, it serves its purpose. I rest my feet against the back of the stand, but a back foot plate would be an improvement. The handles are on the smaller side, yet this is not a commercial machine, and it has held up well to my bi-weekly workout routine for nearly a year. It’s stable enough for me to comfortably use 2x 20 lbs dumbbells for weighted extensions, and I believe it could handle even more weight, though the pad might become uncomfortable against your pelvis. If you can find it at a good price, it’s definitely worth it for back support—I’ve had no back pain since I started using this!

I, like many others, struggle with back issues, which I attribute mainly to spending about 90% of my waking hours sitting. While this equipment isn’t a miraculous solution, it’s definitely a step in the right direction. Back extensions aren’t a new concept, but having one at home for under $100 is pretty impressive.
As a 6’1″, 180 lb male, I find this equipment to be quite sturdy. It may not be as robust as the larger models found in gyms, but I actually prefer it over the back extension machine at my local gym. The thinner pad allows for better hip hinging, unlike the bulky pad at the gym that restricts my movement.
I’ve owned it for 2.5 years now, and it remains in great shape. I use it sporadically, and it feels just as solid as when I first got it, with no signs of wear or loosening.
For context, my 5-star rating reflects the quality of the product relative to its price. While there are better back extension machines out there, I’m very satisfied with this one for just $75.

I highly recommend this device. It’s sturdy and doesn’t tip over. It’s easily adjustable, making it perfect for quick exercises targeting the abs and back, especially while working from home. It can be set up and folded away quickly, and it rolls easily for convenient storage, such as in a utility room.
