I’m giving this Ninja portable blender a solid 5 stars for its performance, but whether it meets everyone’s needs is another story.
To start, the power is impressive—this little battery-operated blender tackles frozen fruit and ice with ease. I did encounter a few small mango chunks in my smoothie, but it was nothing more than what I typically experience with my Ninja Nutri-Blender. So far, I’ve made over 10 blended drinks without needing to recharge the battery, which is quite surprising.
Now, let’s talk about noise level. I wish all my Ninja blenders (I own the Nutri-Blender, Pro-Plus, and the Mega Kitchen bundle at our mountain retreat) were this quiet. While you wouldn’t want to use it in a movie theater or at a funeral, you can easily hold a conversation while it’s running without feeling like your teeth are rattling.
When it comes to portability, the Ninja Blast really stands out compared to corded blenders. The blending cups are smaller and truly single-serve, which suits my needs perfectly. We received our Ninja Blast just before heading to the beach for spring break—talk about perfect timing! I’m not much of a drinker, especially under the hot sun, but enjoying a fruity cocktail on the beach is delightful. With this blender, we were able to whip up fresh drinks right on the beach (we have a setup to keep sand away from the blender). We also do a lot of car camping, so I’m excited about making smoothies and blended drinks during our weekend trips.
However, its portability might make this small blender less essential for regular home use. At $80 (when I wrote this), Ninja offers larger capacity and more powerful units that are more versatile. If I were shopping solely for home use, I might skip this mini blender. But given our lifestyle, my family will definitely get a lot of use out of it, making it a great addition to our kitchen gadgets.
My only complaint is that the kit comes with only one base cap. When I blend a drink, I can flip the cup upside down (the lid is airtight—I tested it) and switch out the base for a cap. However, since the cups are single-serve, when my wife and I made separate drinks, one of us had to keep the blending cup attached to the base. I genuinely don’t understand why Ninja didn’t include an extra base cap in the set, and as of now, it seems you can’t purchase one on their website—hopefully, they’ll offer it later.

I would rate this 5 stars, but it only includes one base cup for the two vessels. It’s frustrating for two people to share when there’s just one base cup, and it feels unnecessary to use a third cup. If there are two vessels, there should definitely be two base cups. Aside from that, it performs well in our camper.

Excellent product. I primarily use it for smoothies, shakes, and milkshakes. When filled correctly, it performs well. Occasionally, I’ll run a second cycle. I’ve tried five or six different portable blenders in the past, but they either break down after a month, the blades become dull, or they simply stop working. This model has had no problems at all.

As a long-time fan of ninjas, I couldn’t resist getting this personal-sized blender. Its portability is fantastic, making it super easy to whip up my favorite creations. Plus, it’s low maintenance and cleanup is a breeze. And the performance? Impressive! As long as you don’t overfill it, it blends ice and fruits to perfection. This mini blender is ideal for busy moms who often forget to eat breakfast in the morning. In just a few minutes, you can prepare a quick meal to take with you while dropping off the kids. It’s also great for anyone rushing around in the mornings. If you want to get creative, you can even take it to work and blend there!

Excellent and convenient product.

While it’s a Ninja, this blender isn’t the most powerful option. It’s better suited for fresh fruits and vegetables rather than frozen items.

When I received this product for review, I eagerly grabbed it right away. I own a Ninja Bullet from a few years back, which I absolutely love for making smoothies at home. The Blast allows me to enjoy those same smoothies while I travel.
Setting it up is incredibly easy. I charged mine on the docking station while working, and after just an hour, it was ready to use. I tossed in milk, bananas, peanut butter, cocoa powder, and ice, and in 90 seconds, I had a delicious breakfast! The start/stop button turns purple, and you can simply press and release it, then walk away and return to a perfectly blended drink. It’s just that simple.
I do have weak wrists, so taking the vessel off the base can be tricky, but since I’ve been using it at home, it’s manageable. Plus, it’s reassuring to know that it won’t accidentally detach! Once you detach it, there’s a convenient blade cover for travel, which I appreciate since I’m heading out in a couple of weeks.
While reviewing the instructions, I discovered I’ve been making my vinaigrettes incorrectly! I should have been using the Blast to ensure everything is well-blended instead of mixing them in a bowl.
I personally can’t eat right after waking up; I need some time to avoid an upset stomach. If you’re someone who works out in the morning, this is perfect for making smoothies at work afterward.
My previous blenders often broke after a couple of years because they struggled with ice, but the quality of the Blast seems even better than my Bullet. I anticipate using this for many years to come.
Overall, this product is brilliant with outstanding execution. I can already envision making frozen daiquiris at the beach with this fantastic portable blender!
