UPDATE: After nearly 2 years of regular use (3-4 times a week) for my morning smoothies, I haven’t encountered any problems with this blender. However, I decided to try a more powerful option for potential frozen drinks, so I ordered the Ninja BN301 Nutriblender for $60. Here’s a comparison:
Ultimately, I’m returning the Ninja BN301. I also own a large Cuisinart blender that I rarely use due to its cumbersome nature for everyday tasks. I considered getting a Hamilton Beach personal blender, but at 175 watts, it felt too underpowered. This 300-watt unit seemed more fitting.
For context, I own a Cuisinart blender, a food processor, and an immersion blender, and I specifically bought the LaReveuse Smoothies Blender for making smoothies.
Now, addressing some comments from other users:
As for performance, I bought this primarily for smoothies. My typical recipe includes: 1 peach (skin on), 1/2 banana, a handful of blueberries, a 5.3 oz cup of yogurt (plain or flavored), and about 1/4 to 1/3 cup of low-fat milk. I toss everything in, secure the blade cap, place it on the motor base, and gently press down. I pulse for a few seconds a couple of times (like with a full-sized blender) and then blend for about 10-15 seconds. Done!
For just 20 bucks, it’s hard to find anything to complain about!

I’ve tried a Magic Bullet, a Nutri Bullet, and one of those gimmicky products from Showcase (definitely avoid those!), and this one is by far the best. It performs excellently, and the cup size is generous—holding more than most. Plus, it comes with a drinking lid and a convenient carrying loop. I’m really impressed with it; it exceeds my expectations. The build quality is solid, and it’s a fantastic value for the price!

Purchased as a gift for my mom. She absolutely loves it and uses it to make her morning shakes.

I purchased this for making smoothies while on the go, and it meets my needs. It’s lightweight and compact, making it easy to pack. I don’t anticipate it being as powerful as the Bullet I use at home.

I absolutely love my blender! It can blend a wide variety of items, and the lid is perfect for on-the-go use. I got it in pink, and it looks fantastic.

I make smoothies with this mixer and it’s incredible! It’s the best blender for smoothies I’ve ever used. I previously owned a larger model but left it behind when I moved because it was too heavy. I ordered this one on Amazon and I highly recommend it. It’s compact yet powerful! It blends all fruits smoothly; occasionally, I need to give it a little shake, but other than that, it’s perfect! There’s no need for a big, expensive model!

Impressive power! It effortlessly blends frozen fruit and even handles leafy greens with ease. Occasionally, I need to add a splash of juice when the veggies are on the dry side, but that’s understandable. Overall, I’m quite satisfied!

I absolutely adore the design, and it functions flawlessly.

For the price, this blender is fantastic! It does have some drawbacks, but let’s highlight the positives first.
Ease of use is a major plus. Instead of a traditional on/off button, you simply place the mixing cup in and push down to start the motor. If you push down and twist, it stays on. There’s only one speed, but it’s straightforward: untwist to stop. This design reduces the chance of parts breaking. I primarily use it for my protein shakes at work—just almond milk and powder—so I can’t comment much on the motor’s strength. I plan to try making smoothies someday.
Cleaning is a breeze. As long as the blending section is secured to the cup, it doesn’t require frequent cleaning like the rest of the device. Just unscrew the blade part, rinse it under hot water with soap, and you’re done in seconds. The same goes for the bottle—very simple and convenient.
However, the lid that comes with the cup is designed for toddlers. The opening is so tiny that using it as an adult feels almost ridiculous; you could turn it upside down and not much would come out. It would be great if it included a second lid with a larger opening for adults.
I’m not a fan of the string attached to the lid either, but it’s easy to remove, which I did. If you find it useful, you probably won’t mind it.
The only question remaining is how long this product will last, which will determine if I can recommend it long-term. For now, I can easily recommend it, but keep in mind that I haven’t had it for long enough to assess its durability. One day I’ll try that smoothie and update my review. Until then, I’m cautiously optimistic and really like it so far.
