A bit expensive for its features, but wow! I definitely feel the burn after just three minutes. It provides a solid workout. It’s sturdy and comes with an app and workout plans. I also appreciate its portability.

This climber is excellent! It features deep steps that effectively mimic a hiking and climbing workout. The design requires you to fully push down on each step, which is great for engagement. I think loosening the tension might allow for a faster pace. At 52, I’ve been struggling with severe emotional trauma, clinical depression, and agoraphobia for 11 years. While I was once slender, I gained over 40 pounds by the end of 2017 due to medication side effects, so I’m not in the best shape right now. However, this climber is perfect for maintaining my stamina, strength, and balance. I find that doing five-minute intervals feels quite aerobic. Ideally, I aim for three five-minute sessions within a 40-minute timeframe. The climber is very well-constructed and sturdy, doesn’t take up much space, and is quite affordable. I definitely recommend it, but if you are already very fit and active, it might be too basic for your needs.

This is a fantastic little piece of equipment! It’s easy to put together, although I did find one nut missing, which I quickly replaced at a local hardware store. When folded up, it takes very little space—I keep mine tucked behind a door and pull it out whenever I want a quick workout. The computer is basic but effective, and it definitely provides a solid workout.
A couple of things to note: it does make a bit of a whooshing sound while in use, so if you’re an early riser with downstairs neighbors, you might want to place it in a less populated area. Also, don’t forget to lubricate the pistons; I just use a bit of bike chain oil, and that keeps everything running smoothly.
Happy stepping!

This is a lightweight and effective cardio workout that focuses on the lower body. The machine requires you to control your steps since it lacks springs. Instead, the strings at the back of the steps act as levers, assisting in the movement of the steps up and down, rather than automatically pulling a step up with spring cushioning. I believe this design is superior, as it encourages you to learn how to gradually lift and lower each step. Those small movements can actually help you burn more calories. A 30-minute lower body cardio session is a great way to kickstart your day!

The package didn’t include the digital monitor, making it unusable, so I had to return it.

Works very well. Sturdy structure for the price! Very satisfied.

This seemingly simple device really gets you sweating! It’s an excellent cardio workout, and by increasing the resistance, you also engage your muscles. Plus, adding some basic yet effective arm movements gives you a full-body workout. Fantastic!

I’ve logged around 20,000 steps on this machine over the past five months, typically doing about 30 minutes at a time. There are no signs of wear or any squeaking, which is great. I’ve been able to play video games while exercising, and it works perfectly for me. Cardio always felt boring until I started using this. The machine feels stable and secure during use.
My only issue has been sweat getting onto the computer display. I recommend putting it in a plastic bag, as it doesn’t take much moisture to damage it—I learned that the hard way once.
I might be using higher tension settings because I experience some knee and leg soreness after longer workout sessions, but it usually subsides after a few tries. Initially, I worried that the machine’s movements were causing discomfort, but I’ve since put that concern to rest. The range of motion feels great, comparable to those large stair masters at the gym, which wouldn’t fit in my space.
One last thing: I wish the handlebars were shaped differently, but that’s probably due to my unique usage since I tend to lean on them.

I am thoroughly impressed with this machine due to its versatility. It effectively delivers both steady-state cardio and high-intensity workouts. The range of motion is impressive, allowing for a genuine full-body workout—not just targeting legs and glutes. Here’s my breakdown:
Build: The machine feels sturdy and stable, was easy to assemble, and is lightweight, taking up minimal space. It operates almost silently, enabling me to watch my shows without cranking up the volume. I’ve been using it on carpet without any issues.
I can’t comment on the attached “computer” since I don’t use it. From my brief observation, it didn’t accurately count my steps. Instead, I prefer using a heart rate monitor to track my HR, which is crucial because stepping can quickly elevate your heart rate. A monitor is essential if you plan to work out for 30 minutes or longer, especially for lower-intensity aerobic sessions where pacing is key.
Full body workout suggestions:
I like to mix these movements throughout my workout, ensuring a full-body experience and engaging all my joints. This machine truly isn’t just for lower body workouts! Get creative, adjust the resistance, and vary your movements.
For reference, I’m a tall 6’1″ female weighing 165 pounds. I find the handlebars slightly short but manageable. Taller or heavier users may find it limited in challenge.
Resistance issue: Over time, the pneumatic tubes heat up, causing the resistance to drop significantly. For instance, starting at a resistance of 10, it takes a full second to depress the pedal initially, but after 30 minutes, it only takes a quarter of a second. This substantial reduction in resistance forces you to find alternative ways to increase intensity, such as stepping faster. The tubes become too hot to adjust resistance after prolonged use. While it works fine for 30-minute sessions, it’s less effective beyond that due to the decreased resistance.
Despite this notable issue, the machine is outstanding for its price. I just hope it holds up!
On a personal note, this was the perfect addition to my home gym. I already own a rowing machine that I use daily, and this stepper is exactly the cross-training machine I needed! After the gyms reopen post-coronavirus, I might even forgo my gym membership!
I will update this review if any issues arise!
