I was eager to buy a portable blender, and after looking at various brands and models, I finally chose the Ninja. The colors are beautiful, and the size is just right—it fits perfectly in my bag or backpack. I prepare my portion to blend and leave it in the freezer. The next day, I grab my blender and my portion to take to work. It’s easy to clean, and it’s so cute, lightweight, and practical that my coworkers have already ordered theirs!

It’s a great alternative to pulling out the blender for a smoothie. It’s compact and perfect for one serving. So far, it has worked well, and I hope it lasts a while. I really like the color and how convenient it is.

I absolutely love my portable ninja blender! It’s compact and perfectly sized, just like a large cup from smoothie shops. The color feature is a great physical indicator of its status. Blending is quick—only 30 seconds—with minimal noise and no odors. Cleaning is a breeze, though it does need recharging after about 5 or 6 uses. The charging time is just 30 minutes, so even if it runs low, you can plug it in, run a quick errand, and it’ll be ready to go in no time. I also appreciate the handle at the top; when pulled back, it locks in place, preventing the cover from hitting you while you drink or finish off the last bits. Just make sure to follow the safety instructions. Overall, this blender is a fantastic buy for the price! I’ll update my review after six months of use.

I was initially thrilled with my Ninja blender, especially after replacing a generic German personal blender that was molding and had poor blending capabilities. However, my excitement quickly faded. Every time I wanted to use it, it needed charging. Just yesterday, I charged it fully with a smoothie inside, blended once, cleaned it, and now it’s dead again this morning, with another smoothie waiting. Is it too much to ask for a reliable personal blender?
Update: Just a few days later, I charged it twice this morning in preparation for tonight’s use, and guess what? It’s dead again! Despite charging it twice without using it, it won’t turn on. Since I bought it, I’ve only used it about nine times. I’m extremely disappointed; I used to trust Ninja as a solid brand.
Update to the Update: After all this hassle, I registered my blender with Ninja and contacted their support. I provided them with videos of the issue, and they promptly issued a case number and a phone number to call. I didn’t have to provide proof; they simply said they would send a replacement and I wouldn’t need to return my faulty unit.
I know shopping for personal blenders can be a nightmare—they often don’t chop, hold a charge, or worse. If you’re willing to take a chance, I recommend this one. When it works, it blends everything perfectly. And if there’s an issue, Ninja stands by their products.
I’m adjusting my review to 3 stars for now, but I’ll upgrade it to 5 stars if my replacement works well. Oh, and the customer service representative was friendly and spoke English without being transferred overseas.
Hopefully Final Update: I received my replacement blender from Ninja, and I absolutely love it! I use it every other day and have only charged it four times so far. It performs wonderfully, though it sometimes has difficulty with whole frozen strawberries. It can pulverize them, but it may take a couple of blending cycles, which is manageable with a reliable blender. I can now wholeheartedly recommend this blender.

I am truly impressed with this Ninja personal portable blender. I already own a large Ninja tabletop blender, but it’s so loud that it hurts my ears to use. Plus, who wants to deal with a bulky blender for just one smoothie and then clean up the mess before heading to work? Given the noise level—akin to a jet engine—especially with a roommate just ten feet away, I decided to try this smaller blender.
Initially, I was concerned that it might be too large to carry comfortably with the base, but it turned out to be quite manageable. It’s only as tall as my 18-ounce Yeti and slightly wider, making it compact enough to fit all the ingredients for a personal smoothie, provided you don’t need gigantic servings. The build quality feels impressive; the base has a solid weight to it, and the plastic cup is thick and sturdy. The external ribbing is purely for aesthetics and doesn’t affect performance.
Opening the cap for drinking feels a bit precarious, as it requires a firm snap to lock it in place to avoid spills while sipping. Although it feels like I’m going to break the cap, I’ve had no issues so far.
In my test, I was worried I would underfill and slightly overfill the container, but I was shocked at how well it blended. I used a small splash of water (around 2.5-3 ounces), a cup of Chobani zero-sugar yogurt, a medium banana, and a cup of frozen mixed berries. To my surprise, everything blended perfectly in just one 30-second cycle without needing to shake the blender. While Ninja recommends shaking it during use, I found it unnecessary. Some say that two blending cycles are needed for frozen ingredients, but with a device this quiet, an extra 30 seconds is no trouble.
This tiny machine packs a powerful motor, making it an incredible find. Just set realistic expectations: it’s not for making smoothies for 2 or more people or blending dry ingredients without liquid. If you expect the power of a $400 Vitamix, this isn’t for you. However, if you need an amazing personal blender for quick smoothies on the go, this is the one to buy. I regret not getting it sooner! It’s also excellent for making homemade sauces and dressings; I’ve made a fantastic chipotle adobo salad dressing and a low-calorie Alfredo sauce that turned out wonderfully.
Cleaning is manageable, but not the easiest. The base will inevitably get wet, and I’m cautious while cleaning it to avoid water getting into the battery-powered motor. I remove the cap, fill it with water, blend to clean the blades, and then focus on the blades and base, but water tends to flow down the base, which could be problematic if the charging port cover isn’t secure.
Now, for the downsides: I rate this 4/5 stars, losing one star for battery life, the lack of a low battery warning, and the inability to blend while charging. The blender claims that the blend light will turn yellow when the battery is low and red when it needs charging. However, I didn’t experience this. I turned it on before making my smoothie to ensure the battery was good, but after just a few seconds of blending, it stopped and displayed the red light indicating it was dead. I hadn’t received any low battery warning beforehand, which was frustrating. After getting to work and finding a charger, I discovered that it can’t blend while charging, which is disappointing. After about seven minutes of charging, I managed to get one full cycle in to finish blending my smoothie.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the product and highly recommend it for anyone seeking a personal smoothie blender or a small blender for making dressings and sauces!

I own a full-sized Ninja blender, so I decided to try this compact version for on-the-go blending. It’s straightforward to set up and operate. I’ve tried blending frozen berries in my smoothies, and it handles them effortlessly. Plus, I registered it with Ninja. This blender is perfect for making smoothies or frozen drinks while on the move.
