I hesitated to buy a smartwatch, but the value for the features of this one has proven to be well worth it. The sleep tracking data has been incredibly helpful, giving me a clearer picture of my activity levels, which are actually higher than I expected. I haven’t used it for exercise tracking yet, but I can see how that feature would be beneficial. The watch also tracks stress management techniques, allowing you to see how breathing exercises affect your heart rate.
I appreciate that it monitors oxygen levels while I sleep. While it’s not a diagnostic tool, it’s useful for anyone concerned about apnea. Additionally, it can detect afib, which is a nice feature to have. It’s waterproof, making it suitable for swimming.
Connecting via Bluetooth is simple, and you can customize which notifications you receive. It offers quick response options for texts, but it’s not ideal for phone calls; however, it works well enough for answering when you can’t get to your phone or if it’s connected to earbuds or a car speaker. Surprisingly, I find myself using the watch primarily to check the time!
The watch comes with two bands, one of which is longer, ensuring a good fit for anyone.
Cons: It supports Google Pay, but not many credit/debit cards are compatible for watch payments, so just because it works on your phone doesn’t guarantee it will on your watch. The watch face designs are also somewhat limited and lack excitement.
Overall, I’m very glad I decided to purchase this watch.

The Fitbit itself is user-friendly and packed with useful features: reminders to get moving, a timer, tracking for exercise distance, duration, and calorie burn, an ECG recorder (very cool), alarms, and real-time updates for steps, calorie burn, and Bluetooth notifications from my phone (texts, calls, reminders, etc.). The investment is absolutely worth it, offering a significant return if you’re willing to learn how to utilize its features to encourage healthier habits.
It won’t shed pounds for you or regulate your blood sugar, but it also won’t deceive you—numbers don’t lie. The device comes with a free one-year Premium membership, granting access to a wealth of additional resources, including workouts, medication guides, and wellness tips. You won’t regret it as long as you put in the effort!
In just 30 days, I’ve lost nearly 10 pounds—not from exercising more, but from having access to accurate data that revealed my calorie intake was exceeding my calorie expenditure. This Fitbit has become my health dashboard, just like the one in my car; I can see when I’m going over the speed limit and need to hit the brakes.

I couldn’t charge the watch on the first day after buying it. I returned it with an RMA, but the replacement also won’t charge. This is the worst charging design I’ve ever seen in a smartwatch. Proceed with caution!

This is the fourth FitBit I’ve bought in recent years. They typically last me around 1.5 to 2 years, even though I handle them with care. One broke at the bank, and the replacements never fit properly. Another one just stopped working and wouldn’t recharge, while one had a broken piece that connected to the band, and the large band was too loose. My next move will be to get an Apple Smart Watch.

This is my third Fitbit over the last ten years. I didn’t want a bulky smartwatch, so when it was time to replace my old Fitbit Alta HR from 2017, I opted for the Charge 6 after reading numerous reviews, mainly for its battery life and size.
Overall, the Fitbit performs well. It accurately tracks walking, heart rate, sleep, and more. The battery life is impressive too—I can go about a week between charges, which is fantastic. I also appreciate being able to see more than five letters in a text message now.
However, I have an issue with the band/latch hardware that connects the band to the Fitbit. It’s weak and glitchy; even slight pressure can push the latch into my skin, causing it to detach. I doubt a new band will solve this since the latch is integrated into the Fitbit body. I’ve almost lost it multiple times, including at airport security and while getting out of a rideshare.
It’s only been three months since I purchased the Charge 6, and I’m not confident it will last given the price paid. Despite this, I still enjoy the Fitbit experience and hope to be proven wrong. I might try a new band to see if it makes a difference.

A family member recently praised her FitBit, and since my old Apple Watch was in dire need of a replacement due to its poor battery life, I decided to give it a shot. Unfortunately, my experience has been quite disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share my thoughts before others make a purchase.
I primarily use a smartwatch for health features like exercise logging, step counting, and heart rate monitoring. If these aspects matter to you, please read on:
1st disappointment: The inability to sync the FitBit with the iPhone’s Fitness app. I had a significant streak in my Fitness app that motivated me to exercise daily, which has always been a struggle for me. It was a huge blow to lose all that progress—no more 200+ day streak for me, it seems. While FitBit offers a free app to track new data, I’m still frustrated that they can’t combine progress from both platforms.
2nd disappointment: Severe inaccuracy in distance tracking. During my first workout with the FitBit, I selected the “elliptical workout” mode and started my session. I appreciated the heart rate notifications, but when I checked my progress one mile into my workout, it showed only 0.3 miles. How could it miss 70% of my workout? I was crushed. Tracking my miles is my only reward for my efforts in changing my life. Despite trying to adjust the stride length, nothing worked, and many others have reported the same issue, so I believe it’s just poor calibration.
3rd disappointment: Major overestimation of calories burned. Having used an Apple Watch regularly, I’m well aware of my daily calorie burn. However, the FitBit consistently shows absurdly high numbers. For instance, something that should burn about 200 calories suddenly reports 2,000 calories. This is even more baffling given the distance tracking problem—claiming I burned 2,000 calories from running 0.3 miles is utterly ridiculous.
This mix of discouragement from inaccurate distance tracking and inflated calorie counts is demotivating, undermining my workouts and encouraging laziness. Please do not rely on this watch for your health goals.
The final straw for me is the dreadful battery life. I’ve had this device for just four days and have already charged it four times. Don’t be misled by claims of charging it “once a week” or “once every other week”—not true, even after trying various display settings.
I hope someone reads this review, unlike I did before purchasing. If returning items to Amazon weren’t such a hassle, I would have sent it back after that first workout. I’m genuinely shocked at how terrible it is. There are more issues I could discuss, primarily aesthetic, but I wanted to focus on the ones that could genuinely impact someone’s health. I’m happy to elaborate on those as well if anyone is interested.
